Թ announces the rapid response COVID-19 Research Agenda
Special research round will examine housing and urban policy impacts of coronavirus
05 May 2020
Թ has launched the COVID-19 Research Agenda with our partner universities to further build and support housing and urban policy in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Having the best and most up-to-date research findings will enable governments at all levels to make the most effective decisions during this health and economic crisis.
To ensure the strongest and most timely policy impact, Թ will be aiming to publish the research in the final quarter of 2020.
Թ anticipates the COVID-19 Research Agenda will support eight final research projects covering three research topics:
- Impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on housing outcomes – including the consequences of associated restrictions and economic and social repercussions
- Impacts of policy interventions in response to COVID–19 – which will consider the impacts of policy interventions and government programs aimed at mitigating negative housing outcomes
- Opportunities for housing and urban policy to drive national recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Applications from our partner universities have been received and a rigorous and assessment process is underway to determine the successful projects from the 34 excellent projects submitted. Funded projects will be announced later this month.
